Allen Bradley PowerFlex 4M

The PowerFlex 4M AC drive series by Allen-Bradley is designed to provide motor speed control in a compact design. The PowerFlex 4M drives are available in 3 frame sizes and a wide range of power ratings from 0.2 to 11 kilowatts. This family of compact AC drives supports multiple input voltage classes including 120, 240, and 480 Volts AC. The PowerFlex 4M series drives should be mounted on flat, vertical, and level surfaces. Drives with frame sizes A and B should be installed on 35-millimeter DIN rails or the drives can be installed with screws. The cooling fan should be protected from metallic particles and dust. Furthermore, the drives should not be exposed to corrosive elements and they should be protected from direct sunlight and moisture.

The ambient operating temperature range for PowerFlex 4M AC drive for IP 20 rated drives is from -10 to 50 degrees Celsius, and for IP 20 zero stacking drives, the operating temperature range is from -10 to 40 degrees Celsius. The recommended temperature range for storing unused PowerFlex 4M drives is from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The PowerFlex 4M power ratings and corresponding voltage classes are 025 to 1.5 Horsepower at 100 to 120 Volts AC, 0.25 to 10 Horsepower at 200 to 240 Volts AC, and 0.5 to 15 Horsepower at 380 to 480 Volts AC. The available options for drive programming include an integrated LCD and keypad, a remote keypad, and computer-based software. One RS-485 serial port comes as a standard feature on the PowerFlex 4M drives. Additional drive features include Volts per Hertz control, feed-through wiring, and slip compensation.
