The SMC-3 series is a series of Allen-Bradley low-voltage soft starters. These motor control soft starters are available with a current range from 3 Amps to 480 Amps. These units feature a compact size and true 3-phase control, and they deliver cost-effective motor control packages. The Allen-Bradley SMC-3 low-voltage soft starters feature built-in overload protection capabilities and they come with the integral bypass feature. The integral bypass is designed to automatically close when the motor has reached the nominal speed for minimal heat generation. The SMC-3 starters feature small enclosures, and they are designed to ensure reduced total costs. The SMC-3 starters are designed to use a rated voltage of 200 to 690 Volts AC, and 50 to 60 Hertz. The low-voltage soft starters come with 5 start and stop modes. The units come with easy and secure setup capabilities using the DIP switches. These units come with the built-in silicon-controlled rectifiers or run contactors.
