1760 Pico Controllers

Allen Bradley 1760 Pico Controllers

The 1760 Pico controllers have been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and all of their components are intended to perform different tasks, mostly in building and machine applications. Pico controllers are components that include a built-in logic module, a timer, a counter, and a real-time clock. Some of the controllers’ functions are to connect output relays and markers, select timing relays that have different functions, display texts with variables and loads, and save and protect programs with passwords. The Allen-Bradley 1760 Pico controllers feature different equipment with different voltage ratings that include 120 to 240 Volts AC, 24 and 12 Volts DC, and finally 24 Volts AC controllers. Besides Pico controllers, this series features different equipment that is intended to enhance the function of Pico controllers. This equipment is expansion modules, expansion module connectors, memory modules, and input and output simulators.

The Allen-Bradley 1760 Pico controllers’ external parts consist of an incoming power source, several inputs, status LEDs, buttons, sockets for memory modules, outputs, an LCD, and a write-on surface mechanism. Some of these parts such as the status indicator and the display enable the users to check the status of the controllers. Before installing the Allen-Bradley 1760 Pico controllers, these controllers must be connected to the expansion modules before proceeding with the mounting. It is recommended to install the Pico controllers in an enclosure, in a switch cabinet, or on a distribution board. When mounting the controllers, clearances of 3 centimeters must be left on each side to promote ventilation. The maximum operating temperature of these controllers is 55 degrees Celsius, which might change if they are used in an enclosure or a cabinet.
