Allen Bradley 1786 Repeaters

The Allen-Bradley 1786 series of repeaters includes repeaters that are used in applications where the enlargement of any industrial network is needed. It is recommended to use these repeaters between 2 existing pieces of equipment without the need to add more equipment. These series include different kinds of equipment such as dual copper module repeaters, short-distance module repeaters, medium-distance fiber module repeaters, and fiber ring repeaters (regular and extended). Besides enlarging a network, repeaters are also used to create a point-to-point topology that is a star or a ring topology. As mentioned before, this series includes different kinds of modules that can match different industrial application requirements.

The Allen-Bradley 1786 repeaters provide digital retiming of the ControlNet data, pass power to the repeater modules, and they come with status indicators and a removable power supply rated at 24 Volts DC. These status indicators can be interpreted together to deduce whether the module is experiencing a failure or whether there are communication problems with the rest of the network.  The Allen-Bradley 1786 repeaters operate with a power consumption of 1.5 to 6.8 Watts and an input voltage of 18 to 36 Volts DC. These repeaters work mainly with ControlNet data. Along with their adapters, the repeaters must be safely secured to both sides of the DIN locks. This will ensure that operations and communications functions are performed safely. The Allen-Bradley 1786 repeaters are shipped with 1 removable terminal block, 1 terminator for an unused port and 2  DIN rain locks each. The repeaters can be mounted in any direction, but a horizontal orientation is preferred. A maximum operating temperature of 60 degrees Celsius is allowed.
