About Kinetix 6000

The Kinetix 6000 series multi-axis servo drives are manufactured by Allen-Bradley and they are compatible with most motors and actuators from the same company. This family of products includes drives with integrated axis modules and plain axis modules with 2 different voltages for each module. The continuous output ratings and slot use vary according to the frame and capacity of each drive. The motor power and feedback cables need to be chosen and compared before attempting to install any of the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 series multi-axis servo drives. Other accessories such as slot-filter modules and AC line filters are required to perform the installation of the drives. These can be chosen from the Allen-Bradley 2094 series. These drives are composed of both a power module and a control module.

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 series multi-axis servo drives need to be installed by qualified technicians. When mounting the drives, the enclosures or panels must be on flat, rigid, vertical surfaces and they cannot interfere with the ambient air temperature range because the drives need to be maintained in optimum conditions at all times while operating. After mounting the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 series multi-axis servo drives, power rails must be applied and then the cables need to be properly connected to both the motors or actuators, the ground systems and some fuses or circuit breakers that are installed near the drive. It is also necessary to attach the drives to a ControlLogix or CompactLogix EtherNet/IP module so they can send and receive proper signals. The drives also come with status indicators that show errors that occur during the process.
