About MPL Servo Motors

The MPL Series low-inertia servo motors incorporate high-energy rare-earth magnets for faster acceleration and their innovative winding technology is optimized to provide greater torque performance than traditional motors of similar sizes have. The small size of MPL servo motors makes them ideal for high-performance motion systems that require a lot of power in a small package. The brushless design of these servo motors offers highly dynamic performance and the motors are available in speed ratings of 500 to 6000 revolutions per minute. The continuous stall torque ratings range from 0.2 to 163 N-m. These motors are available in 200 and 400 Volts AC voltage classes.

The MPL servo motors are available with optional 24 Volts DC holding brakes. Their feedback options include single-turn high-resolution encoders, multi-turn high-resolution encoders, 2000-line encoders, and 2-pole resolvers. These servo motors are compatible with servo drives in the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 300, 350, 6000, 6200, and 6500 families. The winding insulation material provides improved thermal management to prevent heat build-up during operation and each motor ships with a steel shaft key for securely connecting the motor to machines. The mounting alignment accessories for the MPL servo motors are available for all frame sizes. The environmental protection rating of the MPL series motor shafts can be increased to IP 66 with the use of optional shaft kits and the motors support vertical and horizontal mounting with the shaft facing up or down. Circular bayonet cable connectors and circular DIN cable connectors (rotatable) are the connector options on MPL series low-inertia servo motors. Both connector types provide single-cable solutions for power, feedback, and communication cables.
