About 1606 Switched Mode Power Supplies

The 1606 switched-mode power supplies are industry-leading SMPS devices from Allen-Bradley. They are efficient devices with minimal output heat and minimal running costs. They come with a redundancy module option which allows for backup power for critical applications. They are manufactured in compact sizes which help to maximize available panel space. These SPMS devices are designed to accept wide ranges of both AC and DC input voltages and they are tested to meet global safety standards. The 1606 switched-mode power supplies have a rated output between 80 and 960 Watts at 24 Volts DC. It can work with multiple single-phase and 3-phase inputs. The SMPS devices have a high level of immunity to transients and power surges as well as to low electromagnetic emissions. These devices can be used at up to an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level and the ideal operating temperature is between -25 and 70 degrees Celsius.

The Allen-Bradley 1606 SMPS devices are available in different input voltage, output current, and output power ratings. The devices are also available with different options like spring clamps, screws, screw/spring clamps, and pluggable and a special edition options. All the SMPS drives use the DC-OK signal. The 1606 switched-mode power supplies come with input inrush currents, remote control of the output voltage, and internal data logging. The front side of the SMPS devices houses the terminals and some LED indicators. They come with the overload LED which alerts the users when the voltage on the output terminal is less than 90% of the adjusted output voltage rating and when the voltage on the output terminal is above 90% of the output voltage rating. The 1606 switched-mode power supplies also come with selectors that allow the users to choose between parallel use and single-use.
