About MicroLogix 1000

The MicroLogix 1000 series is a series of programmable controllers that have been manufactured and designed by Allen-Bradley. These controllers come in 17 models and 6 different sizes to match different applications and budgets and one of their main features is the fact that these controllers can handle big-time applications even though they need only half the space that a regular controller does. The controllers in this series come with input terminals, input and status LEDs, a power supply line, and output terminals. These controllers also come with AC/DC inputs and different output options that can be relays, TRIAC, MOSTEF, and analog options. Once installed and programmed, the controllers in the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1000 series can be attached to different equipment. They also come with EtherNet/IP ports, isolated RS-232 communication channels, and LCD screens that help the users monitor, verify, and edit data.

The installation of the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1000 controllers can be easily performed without the need for complicated tools. There are specific requirements for the proper installation of the controllers such as leaving clearances on each side of them and using surge suppressors and emergency stop switches. The controllers might need to be grounded to avoid electrical noise. These controllers can be applied by using RSLogix programming packages, operator interfaces, and other compatible accessories that are listed in the Allen-Bradley catalog. The Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1000 controllers come with a built-in EEPROM that retains logic and data in case the controllers lose power. This means that there is no need for additional memory or a back-up battery.
