About Stratix 2000

The Allen-Bradley Stratix 2000 industrial unmanaged Ethernet switches are an excellent solution for efficient and reliable data exchange within industrial Ethernet and fiber-based networks. The Stratix 2000 series features products that are specialized for use in small applications and networks that support 5 to 18 ports depending on the model and that have ports that can operate with 100 MB to 1GB speeds. Depending on the model, RJ45 ports on these switches support fast Ethernet or gigabit Ethernet connections. SFP ports can be installed for single-mode or multi-mode data exchange, and a maximum of 2 can be used per device. The Stratix 2000 switches come in rugged metal housings that provide an IP 30 level of protection, which is a standard industrial protection rating, and this switch is capable of operating in a very wide range of ambient temperatures (-40 to 75 degrees Celsius).

The Allen-Bradley Stratix 2000 switches are plug-and-play devices that do not need any setup, which makes them suitable for networks with a significant number of complex connections. Some of the more advanced features of the devices are the ability to automatically negotiate speed and duplex settings as well as to provide broadcast storm protection to prevent the flow of unwanted content online. The Stratix 2000 switches are low-cost and compact industrial solutions that do not take up too much space in industrial cabinets. They are powered by either 20 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC power, which gives the users some flexibility in power selection and applicability in different types of control cabinets.
