About Panelview 1200
The PanelView 1200 series is an Allen-Bradley series of interface terminals. These terminals are used in modern industrial systems. They act as a means of communication between the operators and the factory automation devices. Different kinds of status messages and information can be viewed on these interface terminals. Based on this information, various kinds of important operating decisions can be made. The PanelView 1200 terminals are available with a screen size of 10.1 inches. These terminals are available as keypad or touchscreen terminals with color or monochrome displays. The monochrome display uses a single color only for its graphics. These terminals are widely used in connection with programmable logic controllers. All the information about the terminals in this series is stored in an application file that can be accessed by using the Panel builder 32 software. Both EPROM and EEPROM are supported by this terminal.
The PanelView 1200 terminals are pre-assembled and they are shipped ready to install in a control panel. They can also be directly connected to any Allen-Bradley remote I/O link. The PanelView 1200 series terminals are manufactured with high-grade components and rugged construction to survive in harsh environmental conditions. Application files for terminals in this series can be downloaded from the development computer to the terminals by using the RS-232 connection or by using a Data Highway plus connection. The PanelView 1200 terminals are equipped with batteries for extended backup. Advanced features in the terminals include the message and alarm handling capabilities. The PLC controllers can trigger the message setup in the terminals. These terminals can also be configured to activate a beeper each time a function button or touch cell is pressed. The PanelView 1200 terminal diagnostics options perform a number of fault detection tests while running.
