The IMC S Class series is an Allen-Bradley series of compact motion controllers. These controllers are rugged and compact microprocessor-based controllers with either 2 or 4-axis servo motion controllers. They come with both logic and field power supplies that allow the controllers in the IMC S Class series to offer programmable, impartial logic, and motion control and these controllers work with a wide range of industrial applications and settings. Other specifications of the IMC S Class Controllers include an input voltage range of 30 to 132 Volts or 175 to 264 Volts AC, an output voltage range of +/- 10 Volts DC, and 2 serial ports. These compact motion controllers can concurrently handle up to 10 different tasks at the same time through the multitasking operating system. They also support automatic registration as well as correctionS to simplify the process of application registration. Also, they feature fault protection with error tolerance and position locking.
The IMC S Class series, along with the exterior drive systems and feedback encoders, offers closed-loop point-to-point 2 or 4-axis positioning with parabolic, trapezoidal, or S-curve profiles, velocity, deceleration, and acceleration control and multi-axis circular, linear, or helical interpolation. These compact motion controllers have an automatic gearing feature that enables the slaving of any axis to another at a programmable ratio. The controllers also feature electronic cams that allow synchronized motion profiles that record the time or position of a different axis. Additionally, they come with a refined phase shift, auto-correction, and auto-registration capabilities that allow a wide range of complex motions as well as synchronizations to be programmed quickly and effortlessly.
