Allen Bradley MPL Servo Motors

MPL Servo Motors are a family of Allen-Bradley MP Series premium permanent magnet low-inertia rotary servo motors. These units leverage their high torque-to-size ratio and advanced winding technology to meet the requirements of high-performance motion systems that require motors with excellent torque performance and fast acceleration. They are ideal for use in many applications, including material handling, automotive, and converting applications. The MPL Servo Motors are available in 9 frame sizes ranging from the smaller 63 and 75-millimeter frames to the larger frames that measure between 100 and 300 millimeters. The MPL Servo Motors are equipped with high-energy rare-earth magnets. Motors in this series have power ratings of 0.16 to 18.6 kilowatts and some put out as much as 8000 revolutions per minute. Their feedback options include 2-pole resolvers, 2000-line encoders, multi-turn encoders, and single-turn encoders with the Hiperface encoder protocol.

The MPL Servo Motors feature 200 Volts and 400 Volts rated motors with IP 50 rated enclosures. Their 180-degree rotatable connectors allow for easy and secure connections to the motor, and each motor is equipped with smart motor technology. Each MPL Servo Motor features winding insulation materials that offer improved thermal management. The mounting pilot that ships with these motors make the mounting process painless and an integral 24 Volts brake is also available for motors in this series.  Environmentally-sealed cables and shaft seal kits are available for these motors to allow them to be used in IP 66 rated enclosures.  MPL motors are intended for use with Allen-Bradley Kinetix drives and PowerFlex drives.
