SLC 150

Allen Bradley SLC 150

The SLC 150 series is a set of easy to progam PLCs using the ladder diagram format. The PLC's capacities include relay logic,  switch registers, sequencers, counters and timers. The SLC 100 series can be combined with SLC 100 series or SLC 150 series expansions to increase the I/O value up to 112.

About SLC 150

Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the SLC 150 series is a series of programmable controllers that can be used with programming and monitoring devices. These devices include the pocket programmer, the PC Software interface convertor, and the time counter access terminal. The devices plug into the communication port of the processor. The SLC 150 controllers are connected by cables into the programming and monitoring devices. The devices plug into the communication ports of the SLC 150 processors. The SLC 150 controllers feature the incoming line wiring terminals with wiring terminals for up to 20 inputs and self-lifting pressure plates. These allow for the easy insertion of wires to secure the connections.

The SLC 150 series controllers also come with up to 5 LED diagnostic indicators. The first diagnostic indicator is the one that serves the DC power source. This indicates that the processor unit has been energized and that the DC power is being supplied. The second LED indicator is the PC Run indicator that indicates that the processor unit is energized and that the DC power is being supplied correctly. There is the CPU fault monitoring LED that indicates when the SLC 150 processor senses that there is an error in the CPU, the expansion units, or the memory. In the case of the CPU fault, the outputs will be switched off and the machine will come to a stop. The low-battery indicator provides an LED alert when the voltage level is below the threshold level. The SLC 150 supports the installation of an expansion unit, and it features an input power fuse compartment.
