About Microview 2707

The Allen-Bradley MicroView 2707 human-machine interfaces offer a range of options for manipulating and monitoring the process data on the factory floor. These interfaces are available in hand-held and panel-mounted options that feature a backlit, high-contrast liquid crystal display (LCD) that renders information in a 2-line x 16-character format. The keypad option is a sealed membrane, tactile feedback keypad with color-coded keys to easily distinguish the function keys, the numeric keys, and the display/format control keys. The MicroView 2707 human-machine interfaces communicate with MicroLogix controllers through point-to-point connections with the built-in RS-232 communication ports.

The MicroView 2707 interface terminals are programmable with the MicroView PC software. Each unit features nonvolatile storage for configuration information, operating system files, and up to 50 user-defined screens. The advisor option, screen links, and function keys provide multiple options for navigating between these screens. A 120 Volts or 220 Volts input voltage ratedAC to DC adapter provides the 11 to 25 Volts, 1.5 Watts power supply that is required by the terminal. The MicroView operator interfaces leverage their point-access and display functions to set up and debug applications easily by monitoring and editing the data files in the MicroLogix controllers. The MicroView 2707 operator interfaces allow the operators to quickly modify blocks of data, link screens and download up to 10 non-sequential register addresses for each screen. They offer the automatic power-up option that is ideal for an unsupervised startup. The terminal runs diagnostic tests during each startup process to detect and report or resolve potential faults. The communication parameters can be configured manually or automatically and each module features the program and run modes for performing controller-based operations.
