The drives have modular and compact designs and they can fit even in the smallest spaces. These drives can also be mounted into different system cabinet locations. The operating temperature of this series of drives lies between -20 and 50 degrees Celsius. The PowerFlex 523 series offers a wide range of options for drives that feature human-machine interface modules. The interface modules feature backlit LCDs along with keypads. The modules support multiple languages. The human-machine interface modules can be used to configure and program the drives. They can also be used to troubleshoot the drives when necessary. The PowerFlex 523 drives can also be connected by using the main free programming via the USB ports.
The PowerFlex 523 series drives feature automatic device configuration. This configuration helps to download the necessary files when any part of the drives are replaced with new ones. The drives have options for dual-port Ethernet/IP adapters and they also support DLR functionalities. All the PowerFlex 523 drives come with conformal coatings. The 523 series drives are available with both IGBT and non-IGBT versions. The Horsepower ratings of the series vary from 0.25 to 1.5 Horsepower, 0.25 to 20 Horsepower, 0.5 to 30 Horsepower, or 0.5 to 30 Horsepower. The maximum output frequency of the series is 500 Hertz. The PowerFlex 523 series has been certified with the ACS 156, C-Tick, KCC, CE, and the RoHS ratings. The drives in this series can be used at up to a height of 1000 meters above sea level.
