About MicroLogix 1400

The MicroLogix 1400 series is a series of small programmable logic controllers designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This series is also part of the MicroLogix family by Allen-Bradley. The controllers in this series come with advanced features and networking capabilities. The controllers have built-in LCD panels. These controllers have high input/output counts, fast high-speed counters, and pulse train outputs. The logic controllers are equipped with Ethernet ports that provide web surfing capabilities and feature email support too. The built-in LCDs in the controllers help the users to view the status of the controller. The controllers are equipped with 2 serial ports with the DF1, DH-485, and Modbus RTU network support and ASCII support. The MicroLogix 1400 controllers can log the data in up to 128 KB of memory. These logic controllers are certified with the CE, CE-Tick, UL, and the Class I Division 2 hazardous location ratings. The controllers can be controlled by using the RSLogix 500 programming software.

The MicroLogix 1400 series controllers provide battery backup and come with backup memory modules. The 1400 series logic controllers use non-volatile battery-backed RAM for saving data and information. The controllers support a wide range of digital input from 24 Volts DC to 120 Volts AC. The Logix controllers come with serial ports equipped with the RS 232 C and the RS 485 ports. They use the DF1 full-duplex and half-duplex master/slave, DF1 radio modem, and the DNP 3-slave serial protocols. The controllers have 2 digital trim potentiometers each. The MicroLogix 1400 series supports both online editing and floating-point math. Internal communication is done by using the Ethernet/IP communication channels. The Logix controllers follow the common industry protocols. The operating temperature of the Logix controllers ranges between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius.
