About Panelview 5500
Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the PanelView 5500 series is a series of operator interface terminals for monitoring and controlling industrial applications. The PanelView 5500 devices are attached to the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix® 5570 and the CompactLogix™ controllers and they communicate over the EtherNet/IP networks. The PanelView 5500 terminals support animated graphical displays as well as text displays for providing the operators with a view of the operating state of the applications. The PanelView 5500 terminals feature the keypad and touchscreen capabilities. They come with tightly integrated control and design environments that allow information sharing between the PanelView 5500 terminals and the supported Logix platforms.
The PanelView 5500 terminals come with the pre-installed Studio 5000® software environment for providing single-point access to the View Designer and the Logix Designer applications. The Allen-Bradley PanelView 5500 terminals feature connections to a single Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5570 or CompactLogix controller with the Revision 27 Firmware. The PanelView control terminals support up to 50 user-defined screens and a maximum of 500 Logix-based alarms. The PanelView 5500 terminals also come with EtherNet Communication support, allowing for Device Level ring setups and star network topologies. The PanelView 5500 terminals is a high-speed HMI that allows for fast configuration. The ambient operating temperature range for the PanelView 5500 terminals is from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius while the ambient storage temperature range is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. The PanelView 5500 terminals come with a relative humidity range of 5 to 95%, non-condensing. The display size for the PanelView 5500 terminals is usually 6.5 inches, and the terminals come with 9-inch touchscreen or keypad support options.
