About Panelview 600

Designed by Allen-Bradley, the PanelView 600 series is a series of PanelView operator terminals that are used for controlling and monitoring the performance of the connected applications. The PanelView 600 terminals connect to the PLC controllers by using remote I/O cables. The units come with the PanelBuilder installation disk that contains the startup applications for each of the PanelView terminals. The PanelBuilder application runs on the Microsoft Windows environment operating system. The PanelView terminals support USB ports that are used for commanding the units. The PanelView terminals support reading and writing data to the SLC 500 controllers on the DH-485 network.

The PanelView 600 terminals display the application status, rated speed, and alarm banners. The alarm banner is a feature that pops up over the motor status whenever an alarm has been triggered. For the touch screen terminals, the application includes the CONFIG Screen button for allowing the users to display the terminal configuration mode menu when the application is running. The application status screen appears first on the PanelView terminals for allowing the users to stop or start the application and setting other parameters. The alarm banner displays the message that is associated with the triggered alarm. The PanelView 600 terminals are sensitive to the electrostatic discharge that can cause internal damage. Therefore, ensure that electrostatic discharge guidelines are observed during the installation, repair, and servicing of the devices. The PanelView 600 terminals should be mounted on well-grounded mounting surfaces like metal panels. Avoid letting the PanelView 600 terminals come into contact with direct sunlight and other harmful weather conditions that would involve exposure to water.
