About W201 Contactors

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer manufactured W201 contactors are designed for the control of poly-phase squirrel cage motors. The contactors device provide protection against stalled and running overcurrents. They also protect the motors against phase loss, phase unbalance, and ground currents. The devices are compact in size and they can fit even in small spaces. They are controlled by using microprocessors. They have enhanced communication capabilities. They come with many advanced features. They use the ground current sensing protection systems to protect equipment against ground currents between a factory-set low level and the lockout current. They also have the phase unbalance feature which resets the devices when there is an unbalance between any 2 phases. The W201 contactors are designed for use in applications which require NEMA ratings. The contactors come with long operating lives and with silver cadmium oxide contacts which provide excellent conductivity and superior resistance to welding and arc erosion. The contactor devices are manufactured in different variants. Users can choose the contactors based on the contactor type (non-reversing, reversing-horizontal, and reversing-vertical), voltage rating, power rating, continuous ampere rating, and the coil voltage.

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer W201 contactors are available with the 3-pole option. The W201 contactor devices come with a maximum short circuit rating of 100,000 Amps and a close voltage rating at 65% of the nominal voltage rating. The outer layer of the contactors has a conformal coating to resist harsh environmental conditions. They can be easily mounted by using panel mounting. The W201 contactors are manufactured with built-in logic modules to provide either 2 or 3-wire control which eliminates the need to provide wire auxiliary contacts to seal and interlock the contactor coil. They feature the unique pulse width modulated coil controllers which reduce the coil power consumption.
