About CompactLogix 5069

The CompactLogix 5069 controllers are logic controller devices manufactured by Allen-Bradley. They are part of the Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 family of controllers. They help to improve and increase the performance, capacity, productivity, and the security of machines to meet the growing demand of modern smart machines and manufacturing equipment. All these controllers use the Studio 5000 software as a standard framework. These controllers are mainly used for communication, I/O, and motion control applications for up to 32 axes. The controllers have high-speed backplane transfer rates and embedded dual 1 GB Ethernet port. It also supports multiple programming languages which enable sequential, process motion, and drive control abilities. The CompactLogix 5069 controllers feature both PROFIBUS DPV0 and the Serial Modbus RTU/ASCII drives as slave drives. The logic controllers are equipped with DIN Rail latches for mounting the devices in different locations. The front part of the logic controller has a 4-character display and status indicators along with it. A single USB port is available for connecting plug and play devices. The CompactLogix 5069 controllers are certified with the KC, EAC, Ex, RCM, and c-UL-us standards.

The Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5069 controllers have a reset function for resetting the device operation. A mode switch is available to switch between the different modes. An Ethernet port is available on the bottom of the controller device. All the logic devices in this series are conformally coated to prevent moisture from building up on the outer layer of the devices. The temperature rating of the logic devices lies between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The installation area should have a relative humidity range of 5 to 95%, non-condensing. During the installation process, the CompactLogix 5069 controllers should have a minimum clearance between the enclosure wall, wireways, and other adjacent equipment to allow for air-cooling.
