About Microview 2707

The MicroView 2707 series is a human-machine interface module series developed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. These modules act as a bridge between the operators and different factory automation devices. These units are available in different sizes and display colors. The main function of these modules is to control and monitor various activities. It is widely used in manufacturing plants and other industrial applications. For internal networking and connectivity, the HMIs come with the RS-232 ports or they can also use Remote I/O ports for connecting remotely. The RS-232 port allows for point-to-point connection with Micrologix controllers. It can also help the HMIs connected with compatible personal computers. The MicroView 2707 modules feature enhanced memory capabilities. The storage memory is used for storing operating systems and configuration information. The modules also have nonvolatile memory for storing running information

The power port and the communication port are located on the top side of the front panels of the MicroView 2707 series. The communication port is an 8-pin DIN connector that is configured with an RS-232 channel. The modules have LCD screens with yellow LED backlights. The keypads used in the interface modules are used for entering input to the modules. They provide tactile feedback and they have been rated at 1 million presses. The MicroView 2707 modules can also be programmed by using the MicroView programming software which can be run on a personal computer. The MicroView 2707 series has low-cost, feature-packed HMIs that are designed for plant floor machine control and data monitoring. These HMIs are rated with different agency ratings, including the UL, C-UL, CE, and CL1 standards. These modules can be used in a relatively humid environment with 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity.
