Eaton Cutler-Hammer Panelmate ePro

The PanelMate ePro series is a series of powerful industrial terminals made by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. These units combine open platform computing features with the recognizable PanelMate operator interface. It provides flexibility, stability, and long-term reliability. The enhanced capacity of the PanelMate ePro series terminals allows for up to 200 pages and 65,000 messages. Also, these terminals are made for fast operation and superior connectivity through available communication options. The series provides models with or without display screens. Every display model has a resistive touchscreen or a keypad with a touch panel for the input of data and configuration. The PanelMate ePro terminal series offers base models, XE models, and X1 models. These terminals are CE marked and they are in compliance with standards such as the UL/cUL, CSA (hazardous locations), and Class I, Division 2 Group A to D standards. This product series has an on-board Ethernet (10/100 Base-T) port for communication with PLC/controllers, downloads, and data transfers. Besides that, these terminals are equipped with two 9-pin RS-232 ports (COM1/COM2) for touchscreen/touch panel and serial communication.

The PanelMate ePro terminals have PS/2 ports for peripherals and a USB port. The PanelMate ePro terminals come with an embedded NT (NTE) operating system that can be mounted on a flash memory drive. In order to meet special requirements, the series provides application kits designed for displaying alerts, viewing documents, and storing configurations. There are 4 available application kits which are the Document Viewer, Headline Manager, Recipe Manager, and the Trend Viewer. Models with displays have a diagonal screen measurement from 7.7 to 10.4 inches (195.5 to 264.1 millimeters) and a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels (full VGA). The users can connect an external monitor through the VGA ports if their models do not include a display. It should be mentioned that the series provides support for Kepware’s KEPServerEx suite of OPC servers and it has a dedicated slot for authorized ISA cards.
