The Kinetix 3 series is a component drive series manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This series has been manufactured to support applications with output power requirements between 50 and 1500 Watts. The Kinetix 3 component servo drive series is available with 230 Volts AC input power. The drives in this series have AC line filters. The servo drives in this series are equipped with solid-state motor overload protection which also meets the UL 508C standards. This algorithm can predict the actual motor temperature based on the operating conditions as long as power is applied to the drive. The Kinetix 3 series drives are also equipped with solid-state motor short-circuit protection. The drives are manufactured by using different components. Both single-phase and 3-phase drive variants are available in the Kinetix 3 series. The continuous output power range in the series varies from 50 Watts to 1.5 Kilowatts.

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 3 series drives are efficient devices. They support a variety of command interfaces including analog, pulse train, digital I/O, and Modbus RTU interfaces. They also feature the auto motor recognition option and other gain options. The drives feature a wide range of network options and they come with several safety features. The drive series has been designed to simplify machine design and improve system performance. The Kinetix 3 series drives are equipped with linear actuators and they are also compatible with the Allen-Bradley MP-series and TL series electric cylinders. This drive system uses the RSLogix 500 software which provides support for programming, commissioning, and maintaining the SLC 500 and microLogix controller families. The drive series contains 2 analog outputs that can be configured by using the Ultraware software.
