About 1403 Powermonitor II

The 1403 Powermonitor II series is a series of microprocessor-based display modules manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The 1403 Powermonitor II series features 18 different modules. The 1403 Powermonitor II series modules are self-contained high-performance and power management units and they are designed to provide innovate built-in monitoring capabilities. The 1403 Powermonitor II series also provides archival, analysis, and control features. The front panel of the 1403 Powermonitor II module features functional keys that are used for navigating to different modes. The operational modes include the display mode, the program mode, and the edit mode. The units feature onboard function calculators that passed the IEEE 519 power quality test. The 1403 Powermonitor II series display technology features master modules that can accept up to 3 display modules. The 1403 Powermonitor II series supports single-port and dual-port high-speed communication modules covering various networks. Therefore, the 1403 Powermonitor II series supports communication networks for all applications.

The 1403 Powermonitor II series supports high levels of accuracy with continuous high-speed sampling at 10.8 kHz, and the modules yield 180 samples per cycle at 60 Hertz under different operating conditions. The units support the stand-alone multi-function recording meters that are addressed by the display module or any of the communication cards. The 1403 Powermonitor II units are programmed to initiate a self-test upon unit startup. The 1403 Powermonitor II series oscillography features 2 modes of operation. These are the hold modes and the overwrite operation modes. The hold mode is programmed to fill a buffer whenever the oscillograph is triggered. The unit also features the overwrite for allowing oscillographs to be overwritten when multiple triggers occur.
