About Stratix 5700

The Stratix 5700 series is a series of managed industrial-use Ethernet switches manufactured by Allen-Bradley, a division of Rockwell Automation. The Stratix 5700 switches are designed to deliver a switching capability that meets the requirements of the application users. The Stratix 5700 switches are used in smaller applications, and they are ideal for the IT-ready integration in a plantwide infrastructure. The Allen-Bradley Stratix 5700 switches provide configuration and monitoring tools for ensuring secure integration to the enterprise network, allowing for a simplified setup and diagnostics process with the integrated architecture system. The Stratix 5700 switches come with integrated Device Level Ring connectivity for helping in optimizing the network architecture. The units classified under the Stratix 5700 switches also provide the Network Address Translation capability. This provides the mapping of IP addresses from the local machine IP to the whole system.

The Stratix 5700 switches feature a power-over-Ethernet function that enables power delivery over the same cable as the EtherNet network uses and this minimizes the cabling. These devices also feature security options that include control lists to ensure that only the authorized devices, users, and traffic have access to the network. The Stratix 5700 devices are designed to provide optimized integration. The Studio 5000™ add-on profiles enable easy device integration into the integrated architecture system. These profiles include the predefined Logix tags for helping in diagnostics retrieval. The FactoryTalk View software enables status monitoring and alarming. The units come with the built-in Cisco Internet Operating System to secure integration with the enterprise network. The Stratix 5700 switches are layer 2 managed switches.
