About Kinetix 5700
The Kinetix 5700 series is a drive module series which are zero stacked and use the share bus connection system. This drive series has been designed and developed by Allen-Bradley. It supports the integrated motion over the Ethernet/IP network. These drives have 3-phase input power which is supplied by a single DC bus power supply. The capacitor modules can be used to extend the DC bus. The series supports different internet topologies, including linear ring and star topologies that use Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, GuardLogix, and the CompactLogix controllers. The Kinetix 5700 series drives have a safe torque-off feature. The drives are available in different module width variations of 55, 85, and 100 millimeters. The internal capacitance level is also different in different drive variants. The 5700 series drives help to reduce the commissioning time and improve the overall machine performance. The drives feature dual-axis modules and support large 1.6 to 112 Kilowatts power ranges.
The Kinetix 5700 drives come with load observer real-time tuning technology. They help to save time by mitigating the need for tuning each axis and they enhance machine performance. The drive series also features regenerative bus supplies. The drives are equipped with status indicators and LCD status displays. The indicators and displays are used to monitor the system status, set network parameters, and troubleshoot faults. The Kinetix 5700 series is equipped with two RJ 45 connectors and cable connectors and it features zero stacking mounting cutouts on the top of the drives. The 5700 drives are equipped with motor overload retention, torque proving, velocity droop, adaptive tuning, and extended speed features. The drives meet the CE, EMC, and the low voltage directives. The 5700 drives can also be selected based on different dimensions and weights.
