What do Beijer ‘s QTERM HMI Devices offer?

Display Features

The display configuration varies across the entire series of these devices. Some are better suited for applications requiring larger screens, while others are more focused on providing the best resolution.

  • The QTERM-G58 has an 320×240 pixel 3.5″ (89mm) color sunlight-readable touchscreen display.
  • The QTERM-A12 has an 800 x 600 pixel SVGA, 12.1” (307 mm) diagonal, LED lighted, TFT color LCD touchscreen display.
  • The QTERM-G70 features a 320×240-pixel QVGA, STN color, or grayscale graphic LCD display with an optional active matrix TFT configuration for increased visibility.
  • The variant QTERM-G75, for high-resolution applications, has a 640 x 480-pixel VGA graphic LCD display, similar to the QTERM-G70.

Communication Capabilities

With support for multiple communication protocols, such as Ethernet, RS-232, RS485, and Modbus, the series offers various solutions for seamless connectivity with many diverse industrial systems, ensuring interoperability.

  • The QTERM-G58 features an optional serial multiport that supports EIA-232, EIA-422, and EIA-485 standards, configurable through software. The baud rates range from 600 to 115200, along with various data formats such as 8n1, 8e1, 8o1, and others. The connector is a secure Hirose HR30 12-pin sealed push-lock circular connector. The device also includes a USB 2.0 full-speed device port for mass storage.
  • The QTERM-A7 and QTERM-A12 includes Ethernet connectivity with 10/100BAse-T support through an  RJ-45port. One EIA-232/422/485 port and one EIA-232 port are provided for serial connectivity. DB9 female connectors are provided for access. There are two USB 2.0 full-speed host ports with Type A connectors. There can be two optional CANBus ports for CAN-based systems for extended communication capabilities.
  • The QTERM-G75 has EIA-232 with hardware or software handshaking. It supports baud rates ranging from 1200 to 115200 and various data formats alongside a modular Ethernet interface. The configurable primary and secondary serial ports accommodate EIA-232/422/485 configurations. It also features Ethernet connectivity at 10/100Base-T or Power-over-Ethernet. It also provides a PS/2 keyboard port.
  • The QTERM-G72 has a similar interface configuration to the TERM-G-75, with an Ethernet interface at 10/100Base-T with an RJ-45 connector. It also includes a USB 2.0 full-speed host port for convenient data transfer via USB memory sticks.
  • The QTERM-G70’s interface offers EIA-232/422/485 capabilities. There is Ethernet support at 10Base-T, which enables TCP/IP and UDP/IP communications. It also has Power-over-Ethernet functionality, which allows it to deliver power and data over a single CAT5 cable.
  • The QTERM-G55 offers optional Ethernet (10/100Base-T) with standard EIA-232 serial connectivity. Handheld models have a 12-pin round connector or an optional integral cable with DB15f. In contrast, the panel-mount versions include DB9f connectors for primary and secondary serial ports and an 8-pin modular (RJ45) connector for Ethernet or Power-over-Ethernet.

Wireless Connectivity

Certain Beijer QTERM HMI devices also come with optional wireless connectivity.

  • The QTERM-G58 comes with optional wireless connectivity support.

Mechanical Features

Beijer QTERM HMIs come in various mounting options, such as panel mount, VESA, or stand-alone configurations, to suit different installation needs. Panel-mount HMIs are better suited to integrate into control panels or machinery, while stand-alone models are commonly used as portable or desktop units.

  • The QTERM-A7 HMIs are in a panel mount configuration, measuring 223 mm in width, 153 mm in height, 66 mm in depth, and weighing 1 kg. The housing material is polymer.
  • The QTERM-G58 handheld device is made of ABS polycarbonate with over-molded elastomer boots. It meets UL HB flame rating standards and measures 129 x 234 x 50 mm, weighing 665 g with durable polymer housing.
  • The QTERM-A12 has a panel mount configuration, with dimensions of 344.4 x 267 x 69.1, weighing 2.05 kg.
  • The QTERM-G75 comes in panel mount configurations with an aluminum bezel housing and a back panel. It can accommodate panels ranging from 0 to 7 mm thick with standard screws, offering in-wall mounting support via a unique cam system. It measures 330 x 260 x 56 mm and weighs 3.2 kg.
  • The QTERM G-70 has a rugged, glass-filled polyester (UL 94V-0) panel-mount housing with dimensions of 215x161x43 mm. It meets NEMA-4 specifications for hose-down, icing, and salt spray. The device is designed for hole-cut mounting without requiring screw holes. The drywall-mount case is also available for secure mounting without back panel access.
  • The QTERM G-55 offers both handheld and panel-mount options. The handheld is compact at 129x234X43 mm, weighing 520 g, while the panel-mount option measures 127×228.6×95.6 mm and weighs 700g. Housing is ABS polycarbonate with rubber overmold.

  • The QTERM-A7 and A12 HMIs are built for outdoor use with a front panel UL 50 Type 4X sealing, IP66, and NEMA-4X ratings. Rated temperatures range from -30 to 70 ºC and humidity levels from 5 to 95%. Vibration resistance may be up to 4g from 10 to 1500 Hz.
  • The QTERM-G58 and G72 HMI devices are better suited to industrial environments featuring NEMA-4 front panel sealing. Rated operational temperatures range from -10 to 60 ºC for the G75 and -10 to 50 ºC for the G70 prototype, while storage temperatures range from -30 to 85ºC. Tolerance humidity ranges between 0-95%, and vibrations up to 4 g from 10 to 1500 Hz.
  • The QTERM-G75 and G70 HMIs also feature NEMA-4 front panel sealing. The temperature range for the G75 is -10-60ºC and -10-50ºC for the G70, with storage temperatures from -30-85ºC. The tolerance humidity levels are 0-95%, and vibrations up to 4g from 5 to 5000 Hz.
  • The QTERM-G55 HMI device offers handheld and panel-mount options, featuring NEMA-12 sealing for handheld use and NEMA-4 for panel-mount with an IP65 rating. The temperature range is -20-60ºC, and humidity levels are 0-95%. Vibration resistance is up to 4 g from 5 to 2000 Hz, with shock resistance up to 20g from 6 ms along any axis. They can withstand up to 1m drips onto concrete from handheld modes.
