The Allen-Bradley 825 smart motor managers are microprocessor-based electronic device series which protect, monitor, and enhance a machine system for optimizing production facilities. This motor manager series helps to maximize the utilization, continuous supervision, and reliable protection of system motors. These motor managers also minimize the downtime required for maintenance. They are manufactured in a compact design and they can be easily programmed. The data can be monitored by using smart motor managers in 2 ways. The data can be viewed directly on the units or it can be monitored remotely by using computers. The statistical data stored in the motor managers can be accessed at any time. The 825 smart motor managers also detect abnormal operating conditions and faults in the motor branch circuits. The motor manager can be mounted to a wall, door, or surface that uses a panel mounting frame.

The 825 smart motor managers are manufactured by using different components. They use a basic control and protection unit, current converter modules rated for 0.5 to 630 Amps, and a cable for connecting between the basic unit and the current converter module. They also come with optional plugins in the circuit boards. The users can also manage the thermal loads by using the thermal utilization meter. The 825 smart motor managers house a single-line LCD display which can display all the available data and functions. Also, a fault indicator is present in the front panel. There are other keys along with the indicators which include the select, settings, test, and reset keys. The smart motor managers can be used at a temperature in the range of -5 to 60 degrees Celsius. The motor managers are resistant to vibrations and shocks.
